CASE STUDY | FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO

Why: NKrush have been the international PR and event activation agency since 2014 for CIE, Latin America’s number one concert and entertainment promoters and the organisers of the Formula 1 Gran Premio de Mexico. As the Mexican Grand Prix made its return to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar after a 23-year hiatus, the NKrush brief included engaging the international media community, the close knit F1 fraternity and highlighting Mexico as an ideal tourist destination for the world-wide travelling audience.

How: NKrush has created numerous PR and media campaigns around the event at the exciting redesigned track, Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. We also devised a range of activations on site and at different Grand Prix around the world. From Mexican cook-offs at the Barcelona Grand Prix to filming trackside sombrero shenanigans with the drivers in Monte Carlo, and racing (Red) Bulls around the stunning Zocalo - Mexico City’s stunning central square - NKrush has been intent on spreading the exciting and diverse Mexican fiesta feel to F1 and beyond and continues on the account to this day. 

Result: The Formula 1 Gran Premio de Mexico has since been awarded the FIA best promoter of the year an unprecedented 5 times in a row.  No other promoter has been awarded this status more than twice, an accolade that makes NKrush proud and is a foundation to our continued creativity and dedication to this longstanding client.
