FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX – ‘SAUDI SUPERCAR CLUB’
CASE STUDY | FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX – ‘SAUDI SUPERCAR CLUB’
Why: The inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was set to launch to great anticipation as a new high-profile destination on the ever-expanding Formula 1 calendar. Saudi Motorsport had taken the shrewd move of buying out the track time within their contract to stage their own proprietary on track promoter activity across the Grand Prix weekend. They were keen to fill it with activity that would appeal to the Kingdom’s youthful and burgeoning motorsport fans.
How: With a considerable high net-worth catchment of supercar owners, eager to experience new on-track adventures with their beloved vehicles, NKrush created the nascent Saudi Supercar Club. We sourced thirty founding members to form the club, hired some of motorsport’s most successful drivers, including Dario Franchitti, as instructors and managed all aspects of these four-day high speed driving demonstrations across the first two Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Result: The concept - which was a first at any Formula 1 Grand Prix - proved to be a huge success and will now be a fixture on the timetable across Saudi Arabia’s contract with Formula 1. NKrush has developed the club concept further to exist away from the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix as a fully-fledged international supercar club, comprising innovative Grand Tours and on and off-track driving experiences around the world through a series of specially curated proprietary events.
